1. What are AtHome Therapy Services?

AtHome Therapy Services is a virtual therapy practice offering trauma-informed, strengths-based care. Sessions are designed to meet you where you are—literally and emotionally—so you can move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

 

2. What types of therapy do you offer?

Our team draws from Psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, Narrative work, EMDR, IFS-informed approaches, somatic practices, and trauma-focused treatment. We support concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and workplace stress, shaping care that feels safe, collaborative, and responsive to your needs.

 

3. Do you offer virtual sessions only?

Yes. All sessions are held online to increase accessibility, reduce barriers, and support comfort and privacy.

 

4. How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 55 minutes. Extended EMDR or intensive sessions may be available depending on your needs and treatment plan.

 

5. What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session focuses on getting to know you—your goals, your pace, and what helps you feel grounded. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy and begin shaping a plan that feels collaborative and manageable.

 

6. Do I need to prepare anything before starting therapy?

No formal preparation is required. You’re welcome to bring questions, concerns, or hopes. If you’d like, you can complete the intake paperwork in advance to help us understand your needs.

 

7. How do I schedule an appointment?

You can request an appointment through our website or by contacting us directly. We’ll follow up with the next steps, availability, and any forms needed to get started.

 

8. Do you accept insurance?

AtHome Therapy Services is in-network with several major insurance companies. Many clients also use their out-of-network benefits for reimbursement, and we’re happy to provide superbills upon request.

 

9. Is online therapy effective?

Yes. Research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person care. Many clients appreciate the comfort, flexibility, and accessibility of meeting from home.

 

10. What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?

That’s completely normal. Therapy is a space where you set the pace. You’re never expected to share more than feels safe, and we’ll work together to build trust and grounding over time.

 

11. Do you offer crisis services?

AtHome Therapy Services is not a crisis provider. If you’re in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline. We can discuss ongoing support once you’re safe. (Would like to add a link to emergency care services, reference existing page.)

 

12. How do you ensure privacy and confidentiality?

All sessions are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. Your information is protected, and confidentiality is maintained except in rare situations required by law
